Product Review: Trader Joes Gone Bananas

A few weeks ago I saw these cute little treats in the freezer section at Trader Joes.  The package was so cute and at first I thought they were for kids. Boy, was I wrong! These are gret for kids and adults!

Chocolate covered banana slices!

And only two ingredients (kind of) – banana and chocolate. The chocolate it dark chocolate and the ratio of chocolate to banana is great.  As long as you don’t bring the whole box to the couch, these can be a protion-controlled treat.

Last night I ate 4 pieces with some sliced strawberries and it tasted like a banana split (without the ice cream). I told Aaron you could easily make these yourself. Being the wise man he is, Aaron replied, “But why would you do that when Trader Joe’s can do it for you?” So smart, that guy!  And at only $1.99 for 20 pieces, you can’t really beat it.

I also think these would be a good treat option for kids. While just a banana would be best, these could be a happy medium. Enjoy!

    Yum. Chocolate dipped bananas 🙂

I think I’d still prefer the ice cream though – topped with these!

I am addicted to these things

They are definitely addictive. I’m disappointed they got rid of the full chocolate covered bananas for these “bites” though. they used to be full sized banana with 4 to a box. I think it was a little healthier that way because you would just eat one and that was your portion. with these bites its more chocolate and less portion control. Very hard to stop at 4 unless you only take that out and walk away from the bag like you recommended.
